Recently, a friend saw my paintball gun sitting in the corner and asked me how I got into paintball. This lead me to the idea of writing a guide for how to play paintball for beginners. Hopefully this short guide can help you out a little and get you excited about the joys of being able to shoot your friends.

The first thing you need to know is that starting off, you don't need expensive, fancy equipment. I started off with a cheap gun from wal mart and a borrowed mask. Looking back, I wish I would have invested a tiny bit more in the gun because the plastic wal mart guns are complete garbage. Check out some stores online and you can probably find a good deal on something. I recommend any of Tipmann's products such as the Tipmann 98 paintball gun for beginners. They make solid guns for an excellent price.

I can't stress enough how important safety equipment is in this sport. A mask that covers your entire face and ears is an absolute must. A paintball can easily harm you vision or impair your hearing . Look for a mask that has anti fogging on the goggle portion. It's almost impossible to play without it. Check the internet for great deals.

Next, find a few friends that might want to play or if you have to head to the nearest paintball course by yourself. This option may be great because they offer paintball gun and paintball gear rentals and put you in with a larger group. The only downside to this is that many times these places are full of more experienced players with their own equipment which can be pretty intimidating.

Each paintball course that I've been to has had basically the same rules with minor variations. These include things like minimum distance you can shoot someone (normally about 10 yards), rules for people in bunkers (normally if you get close enough to knock on the wall, everyone inside is tagged) and other rules that insure safety and fairness for everyone playing. Most course provide referees to settle disputes and enforce the rules.

One thing a lot of paintball beginner's don't realize is how much strategy is involved in the game. Real paintball teams put a lot of time planning thing's out. As someone to to paintball, try to pay attention to what the more experienced players on the team are doing and saying. There are also a lot of resources online that will offer tips for what to do out in the field. Paintball is a game where you never stop learning, so research pays off.

Paintball can be a great experience and just by reading this short how to you're already on the road to being a great asset to your team. Hopefully this how to guide to paintball for beginners helped you out. See you on the field.

The batter has hit the ball and is running towards first base. You are the first person that has the ability to strike them out before they get too far. If you want to make sure that you are always ready to go, then it is not only being aware of where the ball is. It is also making sure that you know how to handle the ball when it gets into your area of the field. Following are some techniques you can use as the first baseman.

One of the first things to work on as the first baseman is the speed that you have in being able to get the balls. The main piece of advice that anyone will give to the first baseman is to learn how to be quick in getting to the ball and driving it to where it needs to go. This may also mean making some extra turns and stretches in order to throw the ball to the necessary place, which should also be worked on as a technique for first basemen.

The next set of techniques to work on will all be related to how the ball decides to come your way. One of the important techniques to learn is how to field ground balls. This means that you should have the ability to keep your eye out for the ball and get off the base if you need to bring the ball to a different place. If you are going towards a ball, it will be better to stay in front of it and keep your glove close to the ground until you have the ability to pick up the ball and throw it elsewhere. Most of the time, it is best to throw the ball to the pitcher who can see the best person to get out.

Bunts are another type of ball that is often handled by the first baseman. When you are handling this, the first thing that should come to mind is that you will be throwing the ball to second base. If you see the ball being bunted before the player gets to first base, you can try to get the ball and move closer to the batter as they are running for the position, giving you the ability to strike them out before they are safe. Pop flies, another type of ball that may be coming your way, are easiest to learn how to catch by moving towards the right side of the base. These will be easier to catch then other types of balls because they are closer to the first base than other bats.

No matter what type of ball is coming your way, you can be more effective with how you gather it and throw it to the necessary area. By beginning to study the possible maneuvers, you will easily be able to work first base to the best of your abilities. This will leave the other players with strike outs while you get ahead in the game..

Aerobic and Anaerobic Comparison

There are countless forms of aerobic exercise. However, the most common format is when it is performed at a steady pace and over a relatively long period of time. To illustrate the point, consider the following examples:

Running a long distance at a moderate pace is classified as an aerobic exercise, whereas sprinting is not.

Playing singles tennis, which involves almost continuous activity, is typically regarded as an aerobic activity, whereas playing golf or doubles tennis, which involves brief bursts of high activity punctuated with more frequent breaks, is not regarded as predominantly aerobic.

Accordingly, some sports may be designated as inherently "aerobic." On the other hand, some aerobic exercises, such as fartlek training or aerobic dance classes, are designed specifically to improve aerobic capacity and fitness.

Fartlek means "speed play" in Swedish. Most Fartlek programmes last for at least 45 minutes. They can include anything from aerobic walking to anaerobic sprinting. Fartlek training is normally synonymous with running, but can include almost any kind of exercise.

Becoming involved in a regular programme of aerobic exercises can produce some very desirable benefits, such as:

Strengthening the respiratory muscles that will help to improve the flow of air in and out of the lungs.

Not only strengthening but also enlarging the heart muscles which will help to improve the efficiency of its pumping action and reduce the heart rate when at rest.

Toning up the muscles throughout the body.

Increasing the efficiency of the circulatory system and reducing blood pressure.

Substantially increasing the number of red blood cells in the body which in turn assists in transporting oxygen throughout the body.

Improving overall mental health. This may include reducing the level of stress and helping to lower the possibility of depression.
Accordingly, the aforementioned point to the fact that aerobic exercise can assist greatly in reducing the risk of dying from heart disease. Further, high-impact aerobic activities, which include jogging or jumping rope, are able to stimulate bone growth. Also, they are known to reduce the risk of osteoporosis. This is a disease in which the bone is liable to break at the slightest opportunity.
Apart from the health benefits, there are many performance benefits. Consider the following:
Endurance will be increased as a result of the storage of more energy molecules, such as fats and carbohydrates, within the muscles.

Neovascularization, which is the formation of functional microvascular networks with red blood cell perfusion, of the muscle sarcomeres, which give skeletal and cardiac muscles their striated appearance, to increase blood flow through the muscles.

If the rate of aerobic metabolism was increased within muscles, this would allow a greater proportion of energy for intense exercise to be generated aerobically.

If muscles are able to use fats during exercise more easily, this will help to preserve intramuscular glycogen, which is a form of glucose, and functions as the secondary short term energy storage.

Muscles recovering from high intensity exercise being made much easier
